- Abstract
The article studies the improvement in (R)- l,3-butanediol (R)-l,3-BD) production by engineered Escherichia coli using a bioreactor system. Topics discussed include (R)-l,3-BD considered as an important substrate for synthesis for industrial chemicals, a batch fermentation performed with an optimized overall oxygen transfer coefficient to improve 1,3-BD production and fermentation enabled the recombinant strain to produce high yield production.
