- Abstract
The article discusses the use of functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to assess apathy symptoms in Alzheimer's disease (AD) and describes a case study of a patient with AD whose apathy symptoms improved after home-visit nursing. The patient's frontal activation on fNIRS during verbal fluency tasks showed improvement alongside the alleviation of apathy symptoms.
