- Title
Proportionality, Liability, and Defensive Harm.
- Authors
QUONG, JONATHAN
- Abstract
The article presents the author's views on proportionality which refers to the degree of defensive harm that a person is liable. He examines the belief that the amount of harm to be imposed to an attacker must be based on the attacker's moral responsibility of harming another as well as the stringency principle. Also explored are the definition of liability to defensive harm by Jeff McMahan and proportionality for those liable of a certain amount of harm.
