- Abstract
This article, published in Chemistry of Natural Compounds, provides information on the volatile components of Phaeanthus ophthalmicus, a plant species belonging to the Annonaceae family. The plant is found in Southeast Asia and is used in traditional medicine for various purposes. The essential oil of the plant was obtained and analyzed, revealing the presence of several chemical components. The oil showed moderate antioxidant activity. The research was supported by a university grant and conducted at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, UPSI.
