- Abstract
Subclavian steal syndrome (SSS) is a manifestation of vertebrobasilar artery insufficiency due to stenosis of the proximal subclavian artery. Although it is common in adult patients, it is a rare disease in the pediatric age group. Most patients are asymptomatic, and the disease is often found incidentally on imaging. However, some patients may present with signs and symptoms of vertebrobasilar insufficiency, such as arm ischemia or episodes of vertigo, dizziness, diplopia, ataxia, dysarthria, and syncope. In this article, we present a male patient who presented with complaints of dizziness, syncope attacks, and numbness in his right arm for the last 3–4 months.
