- Abstract
The objective of this article is to show that the transport agencies of the city of Dschang are fertile ground for the expression or manifestation of counterproductive behavior. On a theoretical level, the analysis is based on Adams' equity theory (1965) which predicts the adoption of counterproductive behaviors in a context where the employee considers that the working conditions are not favorable to him. At the methodological level, a questionnaire designed under the model of Aube, Rousseau, Mama, & Morin (2009), consisting of 17 items was used with 121 people working in four intercity travel agencies in Dschang. From the exploitation of the data collected and the analysis of the results obtained, it is demonstrated a redundancy of counterproductive behaviors in transport agencies. The results not only confirm the literature and the theory, but also extend them. Indeed, we were able to specify the innovative nature of the problem in a sector where work is essentially done in teams, which is a contradiction with previous studies. Also, we bring specific new elements from the transport sector and particularly travel agencies. Other studies may attempt to link CCPs with yield management, the image and reputation of travel agencies, and organizational innovations.
