- Abstract
The combination of the most recent paradigms for the interpretation of the landscape, starting from the European Landscape Convention and the Historic Urban Landscape of UNESCO with the concept of smart land can form the basis for an integrated and sustainable approach to identification, evaluation, conservation and management of plural landscapes, and the identification of an endogenous development model based on the knowledge economy, the economy of cultural and environmental heritage conservation and the civil economy. The contribution presents a decision support system focused on multi-criteria spatial analysis, developed within the framework of the FARO (Original Research Start-up Funding) program "CilentoLabscape. An integrated model for the activation of a Living Lab in the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park ". The main objective of the project is to trigger endogenous development processes in internal and marginal territories, where the "smart" and "human" components coexist and stimulate plural collaborative processes. The six dimensions of a smart city have been declined with respect to a complex meaning of landscape, specific to contexts in which urban themes are integrated with territorial and environmental ones, such as in Park areas. The integration of GIS and AMC techniques has made it possible to develop Collaborative Spatial Decision Support Systems, in which geographic data are made available directly for the evaluation of policies or development scenarios with the involvement of the various stakeholders. To support innovative landscape enhancement policies, the human smart landscape paradigm was interpreted, through the construction of spatial indicators, starting from heterogeneous data. The results of the tested methodologies have made it possible to draw new geographies of the territory based on social, human, cultural and environmental relationships which include values that go beyond municipal boundaries and are integrated into cross-scale territorial systems.
