- Abstract
The article presents an analysis on the narrative art and poetic art of the Book of Ruth which is found in the Bible. It discusses that the book is primarily narrative with a small portion of poetry. It notes that the book has narrative manner of storytelling, limited vocabulary, and avoids figurative language. It also reveals the two passages that are marked as poetry such as Ruth's speech to Naomi in 1:16-17 and Naomi's speech to the women of Bethlehem in 1:20-21.
