The article focuses on Eastside Crossings, the first mixed-income community in El Paso, Texas that was developed by the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso (HACEP), Investment Builders Inc. (IBI), and real estate company Hunt Cos. Inc. through the Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA). Topics include the opening of the community in August 2014, the development funding, and promotion of affordable housing in El Paso.
