- Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted to determine the use of antimicrobials in salmon farming by fish farming company Marine Harvest Canada in British Columbia. The study reveals that oxytetracycline was prescribed for 47 cases of bacterial kidney disease in chinook salmon from 2003-2006 whereas 96 percent of prescriptions were given for the treatment of stomatitis in 2011.
