Depigmented halos are sometimes observed around acquired or congenital melanocytic nevi (CMN), being less common in CMN. In addition, the active edge of the lesion revealed features of a congenital nevus with an infiltration of lymphocytic cells at the dermal-epidermal junction, compatible with a halo CMN (Figure 1C). The lesion was partially removed, and histopathological examination showed no malignant change of nevus cells.
