- Abstract
The objective of this article was to diagnose the environmental management and verify the feasibility of obtaining environmental certification in a mechanical repair service of automotive cooling. We used a qualitative approach for diagnosis, and quantitative in which we raised appreciation and willingness of potential customers to pay for environmentally certified products / services. With the projection of revenues we calculated viability of investment in certification, partially using Bertolini model, Rojo and Lezana (2012). The study was classified as descriptive and exploratory. The company already has environmental management practices, but will require adjustments to obtain certification. We calculated the demanded investments and found out that over 50% of potential customers value services/ companies with green label and that 90% of them are willing to pay more for these services, the value of ten reais. There is viability in investment, with an approximate return of two reais and thirty eight cents for each one real invested, considering the period of twenty-four months of validity of certification.
