- Abstract
The article discusses the case of a 36-year-old man with scalp necrosis and ulceration caused by heroin injection. The patient had a history of chronic hepatitis C infection and he injected heroin on the right side of his neck that caused swelling of his whole head and face. He was treated with surgical operation of necrotic tissue and antibiotic ointment. It was revealed that chemical toxicity of drugs can cause vasospasm and thrombosis.
