- Abstract
This study aims to analyze Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale, Fifth Edition (SB5) Cognitive Profile of Female Students at the KSU Distinguished Students Program in KSA to identify the students' cognitive strengths and weaknesses. The sample was (71) female students (30 enrolled in the program, 41 not) whose ages ranged between (18-24) yr. (M=19.96, SD=1.11 for enrolled, M=19.86, SD=2.30 for not enrolled). SB5 Arabic Edition was administered and the results revealed that there were not significant differences between enrolled and not enrolled students in all 18-scores of the scale except for the the difference in non-verbal fluid reasoning subtest score, which was significant at (.05). This made the use of the students' GPA as the criteria for admitting students in the program questionable. Analysis of mean differences derived from enrolled individual cases reflected distinguished values of psycho profile score scatter on the SB5- especially for the five domain scores and three intelligence quotients- and helped to monitor any change in the cognitive characteristics of enrolled students as a result of the care services provided.
