- Abstract
The article presents the findings of a mail survey on the adoption outcomes of families which adopted children with special needs. The adopted children were suffering from vision, hearing, or physical impairment, mental retardation or serious medical condition. A 15-page questionnaire was mailed to 1,328 families which had adopted children with special needs at four social service agencies. The questionnaire was returned by 799 families. According to the finding, the response of majority of the parents was favorable.
