In the study, it is aimed to examine the attitudes of the citizens of the Republic of Turkey living in Izmir Konak district towards Syrians under temporary protection status. In this direction, it is examined whether there is a significant difference between the participants' xenophobic attitudes towards the Syrians, threat perceptions, contact with the Syrians and social dominance orientations in the context of their political tendencies, religious and ethnic identities. In the study, scales made for Turkish validity-reliability pre-studies, are used. As a result of confirmatory factor analysis and subsequent t-test, it is founded that the xenophobic attitudes, social dominance-dominance orientation and cultural threat perceptions of the group voting for the Nation Alliance are stronger than the group voting for the People's Alliance. It is founded that the xenophobic attitudes, social dominance-dominance orientation and cultural threat perceptions of the group expressing their ethnic identity as Turkish among the participants are stronger than the group expressing their ethnic identity as Kurdish. No significant difference is found between the participants' xenophobic attitudes, threat perceptions, social contact with the outgroup and social dominance orientations in the context of their religious identity preferences.
