- Abstract
Weapons and ammunition technologies are being developed in many different technological innovations in defense industry due to many reasons such as the cost of rocket and gunpowder technologies, the additional load it brings to ammunition, the depletion of energy resources and the rapid development of technology throughout the world. Because of easy to control, simple and renewable source of electromagnetic force, it is widely used in many different areas. This study is analyzed that a weapon mechanism with magnetic area which created electromagnetic force on an object (bullet) to provide the necessary force for acting of the object and this system was tested with MATLAB Simulink. The high-power electromagnetic weapon mechanism converts the potential electrical energy from the power source into kinetic energy with the help of magnetic field, creating a repulsion force to any object (bullet), allowing high-speed firing. With the development of today's defense industry technologies, faster, easier to control and wide range of weapons has accelerated. In this paper, it is obvious that it is one of the important weapon types of the future for electromagnetic weapons. In the present technology, instead of a type of energy that is difficult to control, the force of the projectile, fire, gunpowder etc. is provided with the help of a clean, uninterrupted energy source that is easy to control, that is, magnetic field energy. The aim of this study is to determine the behavioral model of the electromagnetic weapon by means of MATLAB Simulink and to analyze the behavior of projectile velocity, power supply, system components, current, voltage and force and to extract the applicable high efficiency.
