The article presents a profile of French historian Jacques Rambaud and his work on the history of the Kingdom of Naples under the rule of King Joseph Bonaparte in the early 19th century. Topics discussed include biographical and historical information on Rambaud and his work, as well as his death in battle in 1914, French historians and historiography on the Kingdom of Naples, and the academic training of Rambaud.
