- Abstract
Presents a study to determine the association of alcohol use with passengers' and operators' estimated relative risk of dying while boating. How alcohol is increasingly recognized as a factor in many boating fatalities; Context; Objective; Design, setting, and participants; Main outcome measures; Results; Conclusion that drinking increases the relative risk of dying while boating, which becomes apparent at low levels of blood alcohol content (BAC) and increases as BAC increases.
