- Abstract
This article examines the use of linguistic frames in the speeches of Spanish politician José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. Through a detailed analysis of his speeches during the 2008 general election campaign, linguistic frames employed by Zapatero to persuade and mobilize voters are identified and explored. This study demonstrates how Zapatero utilized carefully selected terms and metaphors to present his government as the best option for progress and positive change in Spain. This analysis provides insight into how political rhetoric can influence public opinion and electoral decision-making.
