- Abstract
The literature on organizational justice and organizational citizenship behavior has consistently demonstrated the need to promote justice treatment to employees, regardless of the organizational context (private or government). This approach promotes benefits for both, the organization and employee - supervisor relationship. The purpose of this research was to examine how the employee feels from the perspective of how relevant is it to be treated with justice; how this translates into citizenship behavior; and the relationship between the variables in the context of a private company and a government agency of Puerto Rico. The collected data were analyzed using (a) linear regression, (b) ANOVA, (c) "t" test, (d) F test. The results indicate that organizational justice is related to organizational citizenship behavior and each component of the variables relate to each other. Finally, the investigator discussed the differences between these variables in both sectors.
