- Abstract
The article presents a review of literature on the effectiveness of Interprofessional Education (IPE) interventions compared to separate, profession-specific education interventions and/or no education intervention, and its nursing implications. The primary outcomes of interest were client/patient healthcare outcomes and healthcare process measures. Results indicate that IPE may improve patient outcomes, adherence to guidelines, patient satisfaction, as well as clinical processes.
