- Abstract
This article discusses the relationship between land reforms and politics in Italy during the 20th century. It examines the interior colonization policy as well as land reclamation practices by the Italian government. The author analyzes Italy's political evolution from its fascist period in the 1920s to its democratic period after World War II. The continuation of the Risorgimento program, which was initially developed at the end of the 19th century as a method of land redistribution, also known as Italian unification, is also explored. Several agrarian reforms, such as agronomic modernization, environmental sustainability, and real estate appreciation, are also studied.
