- Title
When West Meets East: Is It Time for Headache Medicine to Complement 'Convention' With Alternative Practices?
- Authors
Taylor, Frederick R.
- Abstract
The author contemplates on the application of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) in the treatment of headaches. He cites the increasing popularity of mind/body medicine (MBM) while other doctors manage to apply scientific principles while combining CAM, MBM, and conventional medicine. He argues that these treatments do not necessarily follow scientific concepts. The author mentions how studies on homeopathic treatment of migraine have been inconclusive.
