- Authors
Bradshaw, Julia
- Abstract
An essay is presented on the Feminist Art Program (FAP), an all-women class, off-campus class proposed by artist Judy Chicago in Fresno, California. It sets out the primary goal of the program which is to give women an ideological and spatial opportunity to keep themselves busy in their art studies. FAP members use photography as a cultural tool in documenting and expressing their ideas on personal experiences and gender roles. They also demonstrate the fragmented roles of women through image.
