- Abstract
A TLC-bioautography-MTY assay was used to detect antimicrobial components of n-butanol extracts obtained from three endophytic fungi Fusarium redolens,Pichia guilliermondii and Aspergillus fumigatus isolated from the rhizomes of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis against two bacteria Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis, as well as two fungi Candida albicans and Magnaporthe grisea. There were more antimicrobial components detected in the filtrate extracts of F. redolens and P. guilliermondii than in others. The results of antimicrobial activity were also compared with those detected by agar well diffusion assay. It is very helpful for further separating antimicrobial components from the endophytic fungi.
