- Abstract
The article describes strategies that teachers can use with children and their families to help decrease children's potential adjustment challenges during home-to-school transition. These include implementing a window wave and hug routine, bringing a familiar object from home, and assigning an arrival-time buddy. Also mentioned is the importance of establishing positive relationships between teachers and families.
