- Title
Sanlu accused of trying to cover up baby milk scandal.
- Abstract
This article reveals an effort by Sanlu Group, the Chinese firm accused of selling contaminated infant formula milk, to cover up the scandal. It is estimated that the contaminated milk has led to five infant deaths and the hospitalisation of 6,244 babies. Melamine was found in Sanlu milk powders. Teller, Sanlu's advertising and public relations (PR) company, recommended three ways to manage the crisis, according to a document leaked in Chinese websites. Sanlu claims the milk contamination can be attributed to milk suppliers and farmers.
