- Title
Can We Take the Guesswork Out of Diversity Practice Selection?
- Authors
Kravitz, David A.
- Abstract
The article focuses on diversity practice selection within businesses. The author states that diversity recommendations, while informed by psychological theory and a limited amount of research, are often shaped by practitioner intuition. A study conducted by researchers at the University of California Berkeley is offered. The results of the study, which include institutional theory, social network analysis, and social psychological theory, are analyzed by the author. Statistics on diversity in the work force since the 1970s are presented.
