- Abstract
Objectives: To increase the therapeutic effect of vomiting induced by chemotherapy, and improve patients’ quality of life. To study and discuss the value of ondansetron combined with warming-needle moxibustion in the treatment of vomiting induced by chemotherapy. Methods: Sixty tumor patients hospitalized in our hospital from June 2018 to June 2019 were selected in this study, and all of the 60 tumor patients were from the department of oncology. All of the 60 patients were randomly divided into two groups, of which 30 cases were treated with ondansetron combined with warming-needle moxibustion as the experimental group and 30 cases were treated with simple western drugs as the control group. After treatment, the difference of anti-emetic effect between the two groups was compared. Results: The research data showed that the incidence rate of vomiting during chemotherapy in both of the experimental group and the control group decreased. However, the therapeutic effect of the experimental group was more effective than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusions: As to the condition of vomiting caused by tumor chemotherapy, application of ondansetron combined with warming-needle moxibustion could prevent and relieve incidence rate of nausea and vomiting effectively. Therefore, treatment of ondansetron combined with warming-needle moxibustion could improve patients’ quality of life effectively, and the therapeutic method is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
