- Abstract
The article analyzes various literatures inspired by communal riots. It looks at several Urdu short stories related to riots, exploring the kind of political or social outlook each has adopted. It considers the attitudes of writers of different nationalities during World War II including Russians, French, and Germans. It examines the difference between the roles of a writer, particularly regarding the issue of how a writer should write about riots, whether as an ordinary citizen or as a writer.
