- Abstract
The article discusses Chlamydia pneumoniae, a rare causative infectious agent for acute urticaria or angioedema. The case of a 13-year-old boy with angioedema that led to diagnosis of Chlamydia pneumoniae infection is described. The authors suggest that chlamydia pneumoniae might be a causative agent for acute urticaria or angioedema. Children who do not respond to conventional urticarial treatment are recommended a serological test that might be helpful to identify the underlying causes.
