- Abstract
The article informs about resources on Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA). The Kentucky Education Reform Act (KERA), a piece of landmark legislation, went into effect on July 13, 1990. KERA revolutionized education in the Bluegrass State. Teachers, parents, students, researchers, and the citizens of the Commonwealth have an abiding interest in its provisions and implementation. Western Kentucky University librarian, Kerry J. Smith, created a Web page gathering together various resources, including citations to articles in newspapers, conference papers, and journals, as well as a list of dissertations and theses. He also made links to resources at the Kentucky Department of Education and the United States Department of Education. The Web site was designed to he a convenient place for accessing information on many aspects of education as it relates to KERA: organizations, governmental entities, documents, reports, assessments, statistics, maps, and other educational data. A detailed section on the Kentucky Department of Education heads a list of links to education departments in other like-minded education-reforming states.
