The article focuses on amendments to Columbia River Treaty (CRT) and the Stevens Treaty to decide fishing rights. Topics discussed include role of tribes in CRT renewal process, decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in case United States v. Winans and in case Washington v. Washington State Commercial Passenger Fishing Vessel Association, decision of the Ninth Circuit court in United States v. Washington and impact of these case law on CRT renegotiation.
