- Title
(2409-2410) Proposals to conserve the names Pleomassariaceae against Prosthemiaceae and Pleomassaria against Prosthemium (Fungi: Ascomycota: Dothideomycetes).
- Authors
Doweld, Alexander B.
- Abstract
The article report that the family name Prosthemiaceae Horan, validated with a description in Latin, was first proposed in Horaninow's earlier general classification of nature, including plants. Since the XVIII International Botanical Congress in Melbourne (2011) discontinued the use of dual nomenclature for pleomorphic fungi so that all legitimate names are now treated equally for the purposes of establishing priority, regardless of the life-history stage of the type.
