- Title
Functional Neuroscience: How to get ahead in imaging.
- Authors
Blow, Nathan
- Abstract
This article discusses the ways in which advances in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have evolved the discipline of neuroscience by enabling scientists to know more about the structure and functions of the brain. Often technologies that are used in MRI are coupled with other technologies inherent to brain research, such as electroencephalography (EEG) and positron emission tomography (PET). Advances in the strength of magnets employed in neuroimaging are integral to the evolution of this discipline. Director of the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) core facility at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging Larry Wald provides quotes.
