- Abstract
The ionic liquid 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride was synthesized. It was found that the viscosity of the solutions increased if the monosaccharide concentration in the system was increased, which could be associated with increased intermolecular interactions accompanied by the formation of associates. The electrical conductivity of the solutions was shown to decrease upon increasing the concentrations of the ionic liquid and the saccharides. The viscosity increased if the concentrations of the ionic liquid and saccharides increased. A negative free-energy change resulted from association of the ions, indicating that the association in the system was spontaneous.
