- Abstract
The author reflects on the Norwegian fisheries which are biologically sustainable and economically profitable. He informs that fishing vessels' designs in the country is based on research at the Norwegian Technical University and the research organization SINTEF. He discusses topics including introduction of scientifically based fishing quotas, development of fisheries management process in collaboration with other countries, and development of means to secure selective fishing.
