- Title
Development: Patterning factor poises genes for expression.
- Authors
Flintoft, Louisa
- Abstract
The article focuses on the study on the Xenopus laevis embryo which shows that patterning factors may lead to gene expression. It says that target genes of some species which responds to Β -catenin signalling is not fully activated before midblastula transition (MBT). Furthermore, the article "Β -Catenin primes organizer gene expression by recruiting a histone H3 arginine 8 methyltransferase, Prmt2," by S.A. Blythe and colleagues is discussed.
