- Abstract
The article analyzes the potential impact of the decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in the case Naranjo v. Thompson. It reviews the efficacy of the court's ruling in reducing the justice gap facing the country's low-income population. The potential strengths and weaknesses of applying the ruling to provide lawyers for indigent parties are discussed, including the ability of a court to overcome challenges asserting a denial of due process.
