- Abstract
As a result, only a few studies have evaluated the prevalence of aneurysms in SS. Future studies should carefully examine brain angiography for antiphospholipid antibody-positive SS based on the results of this study. However, the patient had a recurrent cerebral infarction in the basal ganglia accompanied by a skin lesion of the livedo reticularis, and angiography showed diffuse giant fusiform-type aneurysmal dilatation in the intracranial artery, which was inconsistent with typical SS findings. Brain magnetic resonance angiography revealed diffuse fusiform aneurysms of the distal internal carotid, middle cerebral, anterior cerebral, and vertebrobasilar arteries (Fig.
