- Abstract
The article discusses the role of Mbaye Diagne, a Senegalese military officer and United Nation's military observer, during the 1994 Rwandan Genocide. Topics include the genocide massacre of Rwandan Tutsi minority people by majority Hutus after assassination of President Juvenal Habyarimana, establishment of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR) in interest of safety capital city's Kigali, and Mbaye Diagne's uncompromising one man rescue operation in service of Tutsis.
