The article focuses on a study that investigates the effect of F-fluoromisonidazole (FMISO) and F-fluorothymidine imaging in detecting tumor responses after the administration of multi-kinase inhibitor sorafenib in the tumor microenvironment after sorafenib treatment in a renal cell carcinoma (RCC) xenograft. It mentions that the evaluation was conducted by using positron emission tomography and reveals that both imaging procedures can be used in carcinoma therapy.
