- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the pathogenesis of dacryoadenitis in mice using lacrimal fluid. The study performs a Schilmer's measuring strips with real time-polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and mRNA expression as a marker of cellular water exchange in the lacrimal glands to detect dacryoadenitis. Results show that early stage of autoimmune dacryoadenitis characterized by lymphocytic infiltrations are developed in mice.
