- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the prevalence of bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) infection in persistently infected (PI) calves in Japan. The study used genomic sequence analysis, estimation theory, and surveys. Results show that the removal of the PI calves from the dairy herd has helped in the prevention and prevalence of BVDV.
