- Abstract
The article discusses research which examines if the rates of non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) not otherwise specified (NOS) are influenced solely by pathologists' decisions on the use of histochemistry. Topics discussed include the characteristics of biopsies classified as NSCLC-NOS, the low NOS rate for both histological and cytological specimens, and the importance of understanding the components of the immunohistochemistry denominator.
