The article presents a case study of a 19-year-old woman who was admitted with three days of increasing sternal pain. She has no history of recent trauma and had two days of fever, sweating, shortness of breath and sore throat/neck one week prior the examination. The patient was referred for Bone Scan and full blood examination and was treated for Sickle Cell Crisis with intravenous hydration, oxygen and analgesia.
