- Abstract
The article presents a study which describes the incompatibility between donor and recipient for the Rhesus D (Rh D) red cell antigen in allogeneic hematopoietic SCT. It explains the immune reactions and immunological tolerance between host and recipient after a reduced-intensity conditioning (RIC). It implies that the donor-derived immune responses against host antigens or immunity that persist despite the conditioning treatment, may compromise the success of allogeneic transplantation.
