- Authors
JIMÉNEZ, MAXIMILIANO
- Abstract
In 1962, Vladimir Nabokov published Pale Fire, his second most important work. Since then, this text has been subject to endless discussions regarding its interpretation and, though its inclusion in the novelistic genre has never been questioned, it is clear that the degree of experimentalism that the author uses has important reaches that, moreover, have been imitated and recuperated through the second half of the 20th century and till our days. hat is why in this paper I propose a revision of those elements that make of Pale Fire an innovative novel, while also suggesting the identiication of a speciic literary mode, the mimetic novel in the sense of a material disguise (mimicry), inaugurated to a certain degree with Pale Fire and widely spread since then.
