- Abstract
The article focuses on the commitment of the union British Columbia Teachers' Federation (BCTF) to bringing social justice and strengthening teacher unions. Topics discussed include the elements of social justice unionism which include democracy, diversity and relationships, the relevance of teachers' unions to the labour force, and the importance of members participation in the survival of unions. Also presented is a table indicating the relationship between BCTF's activism and its strength.
